Angling4Success is an Outdoor Experiential Learning programme targeted primarily at young people, both in groups and inividually, delivering the following outcomes:
- Promote Personal development in the outdoors
- Equip young people with new skills
- Achieve accreditation - Level 1 OCN+ offered to every student ... up to 2 GCSE Equivalent BTEC Fish Husbandry.
- Encourage towards re-engagement in mainstream education, training & employment
Young people work in a calm outdoor learning environment within a student-centred mentoring framework. Professional coaches, youth mentoring specialists and other experts help young people realise their ability to learn and achieve results. (Any of the courses can be adapted to adult groups, as required.)

It's not just about the fishing! We also offer:
- Fishery Creation - A real-life project to create a fishery in Bedford
- Adopt-A-River - Conservation of and learning about a stretch of river
- Environmental Construction for fishing and outdoor industries
- Industry Experience in Fishing & Outdoor industries - alongside the A4S Commercial Services Team (or as part of our BTEC Fish Husbandry Course)
- Falconry - Teaming up with local Bird of Prey centres, incl. LANTRA qualification
- Fly Fishing - Learn the craft, catch, gut, cook and eat!
- Digital Photography - Appreciation of the countryside using a digital camera

COARSE ANGLING4SUCCESS + OCN I.O.L.P.
1 Day a week for 7+ weeks during term time for Years 9/10/11+ in Beds, Cambs, Northants, Leics, Norfolk. Beginner's and Improver's coarse fishing. Learing good practice and a responsibility to the environement.

A4S FISHERY CREATION & ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRUCTION + OCN I.O.L.P.
1 Day a week for 7+ Weeks during term time &/or summer hols (Years 10/11+) in Bedford
START DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED IMMINENTLY
A real life project, creating a new fishery in the Bedford River Valley Park, in partnership with The Environment Agency, Bedford Borough Council, Marston Vale Community Forest & Blunham Angling Club. Building and installing fishing platforms lakeside, building a car park, constructing perimeter fencing, planting trees, planting reed beds & lily pads ... & fishing!
+ Level 1 OCN Improving Own Learning & Performance
+ For bookings of 11 weeks, students will be able to complete the BTEC Fish Husbandry Practical Land-based Skills module. (1/3 of our 2 GCSE equivalent Level 2 BTEC qualification)

A4S ADOPT-A-RIVER + OCN I.O.L.P.
1 Day a week for 7+ Weeks during term time &/or summer hols (Years 8/9/10/11) in Bedford
START DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED IMMINENTLY
In partnership with The Environment Agency & Bedford Borough Council, young people will study a stretch of river, including: a wildlife survey, "pond-dipping" & invertebrate survey, a plant-life survey of the river and it's features, water sampling, measuring flow rates, experience an electro-fishing conducted by the Environment Agency, learning about geographical features (Ox-Bow Lakes) etc.

A 180 Hour Course (1 day a week for 30 Weeks) for Year 10/11+
